Insignia Ltd has been one of the UK’s leading suppliers of promotional items, business gifts and corporate clothing since 1981 and, we’re committed to being a socially responsible organisation. To this end, we ensure that we regularly monitor the environmental, social and economic footprints of our business on the local communities we operate in. We always aim to maximise the benefits and minimise any negative impact of our operations. This includes abiding by the relevant written laws and legislation for the countries within in which we are working.
We recognise that different countries have different legislation that must be adhered to and we ensure that our contractors, where possible are committed to these laws. We do however understand these laws as a minimum standard and expects its suppliers and employees to operate with the highest moral standards.
We expect all of our suppliers and their subcontractors to obey national as well as regional statutory requirements of the countries in which they operate in.
We source our products from suppliers in the UK, throughout Europe and worldwide. We do everything we can to ensure that every product we sell is produced ethically. Where possible, we obtain certificates of proof from our suppliers. Feel free to request copies of certificates if required.
At Insignia Ltd we take protection of the environment very seriously. We strive to keep wastage to a minimum, maximise the efficient use of resources and manage and dispose of all waste responsibly.
Caring for the environment is one of our key responsibilities and is an important consideration in the way we operate. To this end, we ensure that we comply with relevant legislation and codes of practice. We aim to keep our carbon footprint as small as we can and to keep our contribution to the pollution of land, water and air to a minimum. We ensure that electrical equipment, such as computers, is switched off overnight whenever possible. We provide a range of eco-friendly products which are produced from recycled, recyclable, sustainable or biodegradable materials and we are continuously expanding this range

Respect for human rights is an important part of the decision making at Insignia. We firmly believe in the philosophy of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights and we are committed to maintaining this in our working practices. As such, we endeavour, where possible, to source products only from counties that have legislation adhering to the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights and strive to ensure that the operations of our suppliers, manufacturers and employees do not counter internationally accepted human rights conventions.
Insignia will not co-operate with any company that is involved in child labour and will seek to ensure that all suppliers have the ethical conduct and procedures in place that support this. All companies that we deal with are expected to respect children’s rights and to wherever possible help children develop themselves in fields such as education, sports and to develop into good members of society. We base our child labour code on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, article 32.1. We recognise that children have the right to be protected from exploitation economically and from partaking in any work that is likely to be hazardous or to interfere with their education, or to be harmful to their health and detrimental to their physical, mental, spiritual, moral or social development. A child in this context is a person younger than 15 years of age, or 14 years of age in accordance with the exceptions for developing countries as set out in Article 2.4 in the ILO Convention No.138 on Minimum Age
