Our design studio can prepare artwork for you from...

• Jpegs or similar
• your letterhead
• a sketch/written description

Our design studio can prepare any necessary artwork for you to approve and can work from rough sketches or a written description.
Alternatively, we can take the relevant logo from your letterhead and prepare artwork from this.

Art and design is charged for at cost only and we will quote you for this when your requirements are known. We can of course accept artwork from you if you have it available in a suitable format.

Please contact us by clicking HERE for details of the print area and type of artwork required for the product(s) that are of interest to you.

How to prepare your graphic files for successful output

If possible, please provide us with a vector based file as an Adobe Illustrator (AI) or as an EPS (encapsulated postscript) file, preferably in PC format.

All fonts should be converted to curves or paths to eliminate the need to send the fonts with the graphic file.

When working with photographic images it is best to save them at least 100% of actual print area at a minimum resolution of 300 DPI.

We require artwork * created in Adobe Illustrator V10 or below, saved as an EPS file, colour separated with fonts saved as outlines. If you are unsure whether your artwork is suitable for use, please send it to us at sales@insigniauk.com and we will be happy to advise.

If you are unable to provide an EPS file, we can convert from most images (jpg, pdf etc) for a £40 artwork charge

*most products require an EPS file, please refer to artwork specification for the product you are intersted to see what format is requried.

Print Processes for mugs
Direct Screen Printing Direct Screen Printing
The print is screened directly onto the mug by machine.
It’s quick, efficient and the most cost effective way to decorate. Its ideal for line and solid work, with good Pantone colour matching, but does have limitations when half toning is required. Dishwasher safe.
Fourcolour process Fourcolour process
Using ceramic inks through fine mesh screening onto ceramic transfer paper, you are able to produce high quality images. These can be transferred to any shape (mug, plate, bowl etc) and then fused to the glaze to ensure that the item is dishwasher safe.
Dye sublimation Dye sublimation
Exceptional photographic reproduction. Each mug has a clear organic coating sprayed onto its exterior. The print then sublimates into the coating to produce a high quality gloss finish.
Screen printed transfers Screen printed transfers
This method is for application of a design into areas that screen printing excludes. For instance a logo can be applied inside the mug base or rim, or on the outside as a backstamp, even on the handle! Fine lines can be achieved, as can tones and tightly registered designs, with both precision and control.
Gilding and flashes Gilding and flashes
A precision metal gilded rim or handle flash can be applied to almost any style of mug for a perfect finishing touch.
