Sales Executive – Promotional Merchandise
A Permanent Position Based in Wallington Surrey. Hours 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

This is a great opportunity to join a small, dynamic, and long established Surrey based company. For over 36 years Insignia have supplied a huge range of products to a diverse client base within the extremely competitive field of promotional merchandise.
We are looking for an ambitious, highly organised, and talented Account Executive who can embrace the values that Insignia are renowned for – service and quality – and who can help maximise the potential business for the company from both new prospects and existing clients.
New sales generation is an important part of this role, but you will also be managing and developing existing accounts.
You will be responsible for managing the client relationship throughout the production life cycle from initial enquiry to delivery, and providing a first class client service experience.
Although based from the office, there will be the opportunity to go out to see clients for face to face meetings from time to time.
You will be expected to attend industry shows and meet suppliers to build product knowledge and keep abreast of new merchandise in the marketplace.
The pace of life at Insignia is fast, with rapidly-changing priorities, so you will need to be flexible, able to use your own initiative, and work without constant supervision.
Target-driven, customer-focused, and a fast learner with the ability to think creatively, you will need to be able to source products to meet customers’ requirements. The successful applicant will have a minimum of five years sales experience with good computer skills and an understanding of contact management systems.
You will have a proven track record of providing the highest level of customer care and achieving your targets across all areas of responsibility. An excellent telephone manner, previous experience of client account handling, working within a small team, and first class interpersonal skills are essential attributes.

Sales Support/Administration Assistant
Sales Support/Administration Assistant required for busy Promotional Merchandise Company, Insignia Ltd based in Wallington, Surrey.
Hours: 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday (negotiable) For applicants with children we are willing to discuss extended time off during the school holidays.
We require someone pro-active, highly organised & motivated who has excellent interpersonal skills & who has the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Duties will include
- Looking after your own clients from our existing customer base. This would involve quoting customers, placing orders and seeing them through to delivery
- Supporting sales colleagues in the above activities
- Contacting lapsed clients in order to reactivate them
- Contacting existing clients to develop business
- Possible audio typing in the short term whilst learning the ropes
- Answering phones
- Maintaining an electronic and hard copy filing system.
- Report back to the account managers with any issues that need to be discussed directly with the client/supplier.
- Gaining a strong knowledge and understanding of a clients’ brand and products.
Key Skills Required:
Proven experience within the promotional merchandise industry is ESSENTIAL
Excellent communication skills both written & verbal.
Excellent organisational skills and a high degree of accuracy
Pro-active, can do attitude.
Good organisational and time management skills
Training will be provided for all internal processes and the opportunity is there to progress onto Account Manager if this is of interest.
Must have “O” Level/GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or higher)
Must be able to deal with our multiple systems
Must be able to help adapt procedures
Must be able to adapt to a very fast paced environment and cope with pressure
Disposition / Personality
Past experience is not necessarily a pre-requisite, but a positive attitude is essential
Sets high standards for themselves and does everything to achieve them
