ALLOWAY TIMBER BUILDS BRAND VISIBILITY WITH ‘OUTDOOR’ GIVEAWAYS
For over 40 years, Alloway Timber has been servicing the needs of businesses and residents in South West London and the Home Counties. With nine depots, including its sister company, Putney Builders Merchants, the business offers its customers a huge range of quality timber products and general building supplies at competitive prices.
Alloway Timber has been a customer of Insignia’s for around five years and uses branded products both within the business and as promotional gifts. To reinforce the company’s distinctive black and yellow livery within the depots, they use branded name badges, pens, mugs and carpenters pencils.
When the company seeks to build market share in new areas, carefully selected products are deployed to increase brand visibility and recall. With two new depots opening recently, Alloway Timber’s sales team distributed ‘goodie bags’ to local building firms, containing a selection of Insignia’s branded merchandise. Insignia helped Alloway Timber identify and select items specifically for people whose jobs involved working outside, including Americano insulated mugs, ice scrapers, carpenters pencils and beanie hats. Kayleigh Doherty, responsible for Purchasing and Marketing at Alloway Timber and Putney Builders Merchants, notes, “Promotional giveaways play an important role in getting our name out when we open up a new depot, and it certainly helps us get remembered when we can put our brand on the sort of products our customers need to use every day.’
Business at the new depots is going very well and Alloway Timber has been delighted with the impact their selection of branded gifts has had, in raising visibility and awareness in their local areas. Kayleigh also finds Insignia very easy to do business with, saying, “Our account manager knows what we want and goes out of her way to help.
